Former president Daniel Moi is not dead, his spokesman Lee Njiru has said, dispelling rumours.

Social media reports indicated Moi had died from cancer at his home in Kabarak Nakuru.

"Mzee is well and busy. Those spreading such rumors are sick in the head," Njiru told the MNR on phone on Thursday.

Uganda has 81 ministers, the largest cabinet in East Africa, mainly compromising of old hands (the President’s old friends), others as old as 81 years old without portfolio.

Could it be for impending succession politics sending Uganda’s 71 years veteran President to act weirdly because the constitution will bar him from contesting in 2021 and making sure family will be well positioned? Who knows even the Wife could vie for Presidency ….

Hon Raila should be CORD's flag bearer .

Who amongst CORD Co-Principals; the Wiper leader Hon Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya Boss Sen Wetangula and ODM  Baba yao Hon Raila aka Amolo Tinga , Agwambo should be the coalition’s Presidential flag bearer ?

A section of leaders from Ukambani have demanded that Mr Musyoka be the Cord presidential candidate in the 2017 general elections. Hon Wetangula from Luhya community says he has what it takes to be the best President who will unite this country for better, while Hon Raila commands a larger following  than the other Principals, with the latter's unwavering support spreading across the Country. Political analysts see it differently, experts say going with intrigues in Luhya land for Wetangula , his party without a commanding grip ,  and Ukambani shaky for Kalonzo respectively , both  Sen. Wetang'ula and Mr Kalonzo cannot hold their own people together; a divided house, as they say cannot stand .

This will take place in the backdrop when more than ever before, people have demanded the Opposition must stick together,  have no choice to give the country hope of a different government in 2017. The sensation that Jubilee would frolic home unchallenged in 2017 courtesy of a disjointed Opposition is causing gloom in at least half the Kenyan population calling for careful evaluation of this exercise.

Their supporters though agree unanimously  there shouldn't  be falling away by the three Principals in the event one of them is chosen to lead , shades hope of a stronger CORD coalition for the coming general elections .
